Rookies Day Nursery is looking to appoint a new Nursery Manager at its state-of-the-art facility at Shephalbury.
Rookies, having acquired Lily’s Day Nursery in 2014, opened their first setting in Stevenage last year. It's a totally new, 5000 sq feet prestigious, purpose built nursery on one level, which is the first of several new settings planned.
Rookies is currently graded Good by OFSTED and aspires to be Outstanding, based on the highest quality of care. Teaching Learning & Assessment takes place within the unique welcoming environment of bright, spacious rooms, high ceilings and natural sunlight, encouraging engagement and enabling environment.
You will work to achieve an OFSTED Outstanding grading and lead the effective delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and any other legal/statutory requirements.
You will have a strong understanding of the EYFS statutory requirements and be capable of motivating and training a team of practitioners to provide the highest quality child care.
Successful candidates will have:
- A track record of Sector experience (EYF)
- An effective Leadership/Senior record
- An effective approach to enabling and embedding Quality
- Leading, achieving & evidencing the settings progress against the OFSTED inspection framework
You will, as a minimum, be qualified to NVQ level 3, but preference is given to candidates with higher qualifications. The ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workload is essential, as is knowledge and understanding of key legislation related to childcare and education. We require candidates to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be strong in building relationships with children, staff, parents and guardians

Cook / Chef
Rookies Day Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic cook/chef to join our friendly team.
We need someone to prepare and cook balanced, nutritious meals for the children, ensuring the relevant policies and procedures are followed.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of specific dietary requirements and provide sufficient meals for children accounting for allergies and preferences. The hours are 9am-2pm daily.

Successful applicants will also be required to have an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
Early Years Practitioner
Rookies Day Nursery have employment opportunities for passionate and caring childcare staff to work at the new nursery at Shephalbury Park, Stevenage.
We have positions available for experienced EYP’s in full time positions of 40 hours/week (Level 3 minimum) and to cover lunch breaks (level 2 required).
You will be experienced, qualified, friendly, capable, love children and be ready for a new challenge in a new environment, working with children from 9 months to 5 years of age.

Stevenage FC urgently require Turnstile Operators to work match days for the remainder of the 2016/17 season.
This paid role would particularly suit Stevenage supporters as operators are able to watch the match after their shift.
Applicants should be aged 18 or over, reliable, trustworthy and good with people. They should also be available for both Tuesday and Saturday matchdays throughout the season. The current fixture list can be found here.

The Foundation is looking to expand its pool of casual coaches to deliver on a number of projects including soccer camps/centres, match day packages, and in particular the schools programme & extra-curricular activities with a number of vacancies available.
Coaches should meet the following criteria:
• Minimum FA Level 1 qualified
• Experience of leading football and sport specific sessions
• Experience of working with children aged between 3-18
• Hold a current FA Safeguarding Children certificate
• Hold a current FA Emergency First Aid Certificate
• Excellent communication & organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• FA Youth Module qualifications
• Other FA qualifications (e.g. Futsal, Goalkeeping etc)
