Stevenage FC have agreed terms with Michael Timlin and the 33 year old will join Boro on 1st July.
The experienced central midfielder has been an important part of the Southend United midfield for the past seven years, making 253 appearances for the Shrimpers.
Timlin becomes Dino Maamria’s fifth summer signing as he continues to rebuild his squad ahead of the 2018/2019 season.
Chairman Phil Wallace said, "We have all worked hard to make this happen. We needed an experienced head in central midfield to help our young players develop and our signings in this window will continue to reflect a balance between more experienced pros and younger, exciting lads full of potential."
