Video & Quotes from Dino Maamria ahead of Saturday's home game...

  • On the squad’s health & returns for Revell & JCR…

“We had a couple of knocks last week at Newport, it was quite a tough game physically but we enjoyed it. Hopefully we have got everyone back available, there is a question mark on one or two but we will find out tomorrow for sure. I did not think Rev was going to make it, he was persistent in wanting to play, he declared himself fit and you cannot stop Alex Revell from entering the pitch so fair play to him. He put in a good shift as well (against Newport) which is a testament to his character and personality so he has pulled through.

“He (JCR) had been injured with a hamstring for a few weeks. He trained really well for two weeks, I could have played him in the Charlton game on the Tuesday before Newport but I went against it as I thought Saturday’s game was more important.

“He came through that, he played 85 minutes and he was fantastic - arguably our best player on the day. We know what he can give us. Apart from his experience and his voice in the team, he gives us quality in the final third. He can retain the ball under pressure, he is sharp, he is intelligent and he sees good pictures so its great to have him back.”

  • On keeping home form up…

“They (all home games) have all been difficult. We beat Grimsby here late on, the Morecambe win was hard; every win we have had at home was hard. Against Colchester we won it in the last ten minutes of the game. Every game is difficult at this level and if you look at the league table it will tell you everything you need to know.

“It is good to be back at home. We have done a lot of travelling lately, long journeys as well, we have only played 13 games and we have played Carlisle away, Exeter away, Forest Green away, Yeovil away, Newport away and they are tough fixtures, tough overnight stays as well. That takes a lot of legs away, mentally as well.”

  • On the bigger picture…

“We have looked after the players this week and we have done a fair bit of talking as well to end out mindset right and what we have to do is keep moving forward.

"We are on the right track but if you sit still on the right track, cars can run over you so we have got to keep moving forward and that is what I have told the players.

“We just need to be ready; we have been good at home, the fans have been brilliant in backing us and they have played a big part towards us averaging over 2 points per game at home. We would like to make that better and that starts from Saturday."
