Stevenage supporters can now vote for their GCIS (UK) Ltd Player of the Month Award for December...

The highlights of the month include our third win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Cambridge, as well as two commendable score draws away at Walsall and Cheltenham Town.

Our shortlist for the December Player of the Month is as follows:

  • Terence Vancooten: Having waited patiently for his opportunity in the starting XI, Vancooten has enjoyed a run of games in his preferred centre-back position, working his way into a rich vein of form topped with a Man of the Match display vs Cambridge United.
  • Jack Smith: Academy graduate Smith is enjoying his first full season of First Team football. With the trust of Manager Alex Revell, Jack Smith continues to impress in the middle of the park, highlighted with an assist for the equaliser at Cheltenham Town on Boxing Day.
  • Arthur Read: On loan Brentford midfielder Read has been an integral part of Alex Revell plans this season, taking part in all but three games in all competitions. Read's calmness and reliability on the ball has played its part in Stevenage's turn of form towards the end of the month.
  • Charlie Carter: After missing the first two months of the season through injury, Carter's reintroduction to the side and his versatility have seen him become one of the first names on the teamsheet this campaign. The midfielder was used as a forward in the last two games of the months, reaping his rewards with the winning goal against Cambridge United.
