One Year On... The Community Careline in Photos

23 March 2021

Stevenage Football Club and Stevenage FC Foundation's Coronavirus Community Careline launched on this day last year...

During what has been one of the most difficult years for many people in living memory, Stevenage FC did its utmost to support the local community with its immediate response to the pandemic.

Thanks to over 100 staff and volunteers, 15,000 sandwiches and 1600 sweet treats were delivered to vulnerable residents and NHS Lister Hospital staff, 400 prescriptions were collected for those shielding, 5400 activity packs were given out to older adults and children at risk of digital poverty, 1800 phone calls were made to people needing a friendly chat and 2203 items of need collected and delivered, leading to the Club receiving five local awards.

Stevenage Football Club is proud to have received the Pride of Stevenage Award for Best Company, the Heroes of Hertfordshire Award, Herts Sports Partnership Chairman's Award, Neighborhood Watch District Award and Herts FA Special Contribution to the Community Award within the past 12 months.

The Club and Foundation's commitment to the Community is ongoing and on this National Day of Reflection, we pause and remember everyone that has lost their life or had their lives affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic. We also continue to thank the NHS for their hard work and sacrifice, particularly over the last year.
