MATCH REPORT: ST NEOTS TOWN 0, STEVENAGE 0

27 July 2016

A youthful Stevenage side carved out numerous chances but couldn’t find a breakthrough in an entertaining yet goalless draw at St Neots Town tonight.

An open game saw the best chances fall to Ben Kennedy, a trialist, Dipo Akinyemi and Elite Development Programme youngster Fraser Macsen, but all were thwarted by fine saves or the referee’s whistle.

At the other end, Boro were also indebted to Chris Day for a fine save and the woodwork when St Neots rattled the post from distance midway through the second half.

Stevenage: Day, Slater, Donnellan, Johnson, Kerr, Akinyemi (Etheridge 81), Gorman, McKee, Kennedy (Fraser 64), Hyde (Brady 55 (Wilmot 73)), Trialist (Cregan 70)

Subs not used: Gibson (GK), Croud, O’Keefe
