BEN KENNEDY SIGNS NEW CONTRACT

15 October 2015

Stevenage’s exciting young striker Ben Kennedy has signed an improved three-year contract.

The 18-year old broke into the first team earlier this year with a number of eye-catching performances in the second half of 2014/15. After recovering from summer surgery the Northern Irish youth international has continued that form into this season, scoring in each of his recent games against Dagenham and Exeter.

Chairman Phil Wallace commented, "The fact that Ben is playing Football League games again just 11 or 12 weeks post-op is amazing in itself and testament to how highly he’s regarded by the Club. At 18 he will no doubt have his ups and downs but we think he can learn a lot in the position he plays from Teddy Sheringham and we’re looking forward to seeing him improving along with our other younger players."

The next chance to see Stevenage in action is this Saturday when Wycombe Wanderers visit The Lamex Stadium. Tickets are available at 'in advance' prices, which range from £8-£22 in the seats and £4-£18 in the terraces, until 5pm on Friday in the club shop or until 23.59 on Friday at www.borotickets.co.uk.
