BORO'S BIG DAY OUT A BIG SUCCESS

Over a thousand fans enjoyed Saturday's event...

Saturday saw flocks of Boro fans, music enthusiasts and fun-loving families alike head to the Lamex Stadium for Boro's Big Day Out 2015.

Chief Executive, Barry Webber was delighted with how proceedings went.

"I am over the moon with how events unfolded on Saturday for our 2nd annual BoroFest. The weather was perfect and it was amazingly satisfying for all involved to see over 1100 people coming along to support the event in what was a real relaxed, happy, community vibe the whole day.

"Stevenage FC is a huge part of the local community. We want families to be involved with us. We want to entertain the young and old. We want to do as much as we can to help and support the local area and causes, and we want Stevenage football club to be a place where everyone can come to have a great time!

"This is a VERY exciting time for Stevenage Football Club and the local community, and as BoroFest proved, supporters and the local community have a real part to play in moving the club forward."

First of all we had our behind-the-scenes stadium tour where young fans got the chance to have a nosy around the stadium as well as pose for photos in the dugouts!

Next up Teddy Sheringham and the players were introduced to the crowd and the new boss spoke about his ambitions for the future before spending time meeting the fans, one by one.

The players were also around to meet and greet the Stevenage fans...

Roxy Searle kicked off the music in style which went all the way through until the evening...
