GW: I AM SURE WE WILL BE A DANGEROUS ANIMAL

26 April 2015

The gaffer on securing a play-off place with victory against Carlisle...

Saturday’s win against Carlisle means Boro will be taking part in the play-offs come the end of the season but GW says there is still a lot of work and improving to do.

“It puts us in sixth for certain I think and that is a commendable enough finish but in all honesty, there is no point being in it if you aren’t in it to win it, so we have got a lot of work to do because if we stay at the level we are at, we won’t get to where we want to.”

Stevenage will go into the play-offs full of confidence after a fine run of form and GW says no team will want to play Boro.

“I don’t think people fancy playing Stevenage, I think that they know Stevenage play to win and any team that plays to win and is prepared to go all in to win, is a tough proposition.

“All we want to do is get better, we have been going on alright, I think that is eight wins, seven draws and a defeat in 16 now.

“We have been getting better as the season has gone on, any side that is improving; any side that is focused on improving further, any side that has got a deep rooted determination to succeed is a dangerous animal. I am sure we will be a dangerous animal.”
