LOAN WATCH: MIXED WEEKEND FOR BORO YOUNGSTERS

17 August 2014

It’s proved a mixed weekend of results for the Boro youngsters out on loan, with one win, one draw and a couple of defeats between them.

In the Vanarama Conference Premier, Jo N’Guessan started in Aldershot’s 2-0 win at Telford this afternoon. The winger played for 66 minutes and proved a real threat out wide for the Shots until a knock forced him off.

George Allen saw his Bishop’s Stortford’s unbeaten start to the Vanarama Conference South season end with a 3-1 home loss against Maidenhead United. The defender played all 90 minutes but could do little as Adrian Clifton, an Ashley Miller own goal and Reece Tilson-Lascaris gave the visitors a three-goal advantage, before Ishmael Kamara scored a late consolation.

In the same division Fejiri Okenabirhie’s Farnborough continue to look for their first win of the season after a narrow 1-0 home defeat to St Albans. After coming on a 62nd minute sub in their 3-2 home defeat to Weston-super-Mare on Monday, the Boro youngster started yesterday’s game and was lively throughout but couldn’t find the back of the net.

Finally Rohdell Gordon made his debut for Chelmsford City as a 67th minute sub in their goalless draw at Bath City.
