LOAN WATCH: CALCUTT AT THE DOUBLE ON STONES DEBUT

27 October 2014

Connor Calcutt made the perfect start to his loan spell at Wealdstone by scoring twice on his debut and picking up the Man of the Match award on Saturday.

The young striker took just 10 minutes to find the back of the net, turning in the box and firing home and then scored his second on the stroke of half time, as the Stones eventually ran out comfortable 6-0 winners against Hampton & Richmond Borough in the Middlesex Senior Cup.

Three of Boro’s youngsters were involved in FA Cup 4th round qualifying action over the weekend. Rohdell Gordon was named Man of the Match as Chelmsford earned themselves a replay with a goalless draw at home to Vanarama Conference Premier leaders Barnet. Rohdell played the full 90 and impressed throughout, being involved in much of the hosts' attacking play. The Clarets now travel to The Hive for tomorrow night’s replay.

Winger Jo N’Guessan was a half-time substitute for Aldershot in their 2-0 FA Cup win at home to Torquay with Josh Scott netting both goals, whilst Ryan Johnson was an unused substitute as Boreham Wood fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at Woking.

Back in the Vanarama Conference South, George Allen’s Bishop’s Stortford fought back from 2-0 down to pick up a point with a 2-2 draw away at Sutton United. That result saw the Blues drop to 12th in the table.

Finally Fejiri Okenabirhie’s Farnborough had no game this weekend as scheduled opponents St Albans were still involved in the FA Cup.
