LOAN WATCH: FEJIRI HELPS FARNBOROUGH

24 November 2014

There were two wins and two defeats this weekend for the four Boro youngsters still out on loan.

In Vanarama Conference South, Fejiri Okenabirhie’s Farnborough recorded just their second home win of the season and their first clean sheet since early September with a 1-0 win against Hayes & Yeading. Fejiri started the game and was bright up top but was later substituted with around 20 minutes remaining.

Rohdell Gordon was a second half sub as Chelmsford ended a winless run of three games to beat Bath City 2-1. The Boro loanee looked lively during his 22 minutes on the pitch and led the Clarets on the counter-attack on a couple of occasions, but they were forced to settle for the narrow 2-1 win.

George Allen played the full 90 minutes as Bishop’s Stortford fell to a late 1-0 defeat at Staines Town. It was the home side’s first win since August after a run of nine straight league losses. George also picked up a yellow card in a disappointing afternoon for the centre-back.

Meanwhile Jo N’Guessan was a 76th minute sub for Aldershot who suffered a surprised 2-0 home defeat against Eastleigh in the Vanarama Conference Premier. You can listen to Jo’s post-match interview here.

Finally both Ryan Johnson and Connor Calcutt are back at Boro after their loan spells at Boreham Wood and Wealdstone respectively came to an end.
