Jimmy Smith has been speaking to Boro Player this morning about coming up against his former club Leyton Orient on Saturday.
The midfielder told us, “I’m looking forward to it. We massively need the three points and what a great way to get them than up against your old team as well. I enjoyed my time there (at Orient) but times move on, I’m here now and all I’m focused on is doing well at Stevenage.
“It was disappointing to pick up the injury in La Manga. I didn’t have any pre-season games under my belt but I’ve been working hard, doing double sessions every day so I feel good and I’m ready when the gaffer needs me.
“An appearance on Saturday would be great but I want the win as well.”
