MORAIS: ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

Goalscorer Filipe Morais was in good spirits as Boro secured a win in tonight's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against MK Dons.

"I think it was long overdue, the boys have been working hard," he told us. "There was definitely a different feel about the game today. We've had some players come back into the group and it is vital experience, it's given us a lift and you can definitely see a difference out there. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards for us now and we kick on from this.

"Even the players that are out now are going to be giving everything to get in that team. That's just going to breed more and more desire and commitment and pushing each other on to keep winning games."
