18 April 2015

Stevenage shortlisted for Family Club of the Year and Ryan Johnson is shortlisted as League 2 Apprentice of the Year!

Stevenage fans here and around the world can join in with the excitement of this year’s Football League Awards, as we’ll be bringing you the live stream right here on the official Stevenage website.

The live stream will commence at approximately 8.20pm this Sunday 19 April 2015 and run throughout the award ceremony. Visit www.stevenagefc.com on Sunday to be directed to the live video stream.

On the night, prizes will be awarded to the best players in each of the three divisions as well as in a host of categories honouring players, fans, community trusts and the unsung heroes at the heart of the Football League’s 72 clubs. We are delighted to be among just six clubs in the whole Football League to be nominated in the Family Club of the Year category, while first year professional Ryan Johnson is one of three youngsters up for League 2 Apprentice of the Year. You can tune in live to see how we get on!

The ceremony at The Brewery in London is not only a celebration of the very best of The Football League, but also a celebration of ten years of The Football League Awards. The first ceremony was held on March 5, 2006, with future England defender Phil Jagielka among those honoured on the night.

Since then The Football League Awards has become firmly established as one of the most glittering occasions in the sporting calendar, a chance for the game to come together and recognise the fantastic achievements of Football League clubs and their players, both on and off the pitch.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Football League Awards there will also be the announcement of the Football Manager Team of the Decade, recognising eleven outstanding players and one manager who have excelled in the competitions of The Football League during the last ten years.

Stevenage fans around the globe can follow the night’s excitement by watching the event live on the official Stevenage website and by joining in the conversation on social media with the hashtag #FLAwards. Visit www.stevenagefc.com on Sunday to be directed to the live video stream.
