STEVENAGE AGREE TERMS WITH ANDY BOND, SAM BEASANT AND HARRY WORLEY

7 June 2014

Rebuild begins with three new additions

Stevenage have agreed terms with Andy Bond, Sam Beasant and Harry Worley ahead of the new campaign as Graham Westley begins to rebuild his squad.

Andy Bond, 28, is best known for spells at Barrow and Colchester, making well over 100 appearances for both clubs. He was part of the Barrow side which won the FA Trophy at Boro’s expense in 2010 and has also represented the England C team.

Goalkeeper Sam Beasant arrives at The Lamex Stadium from Woking, where he made 40 appearances last season. Since starting his career at Chelsea, the 26-year old has enjoyed spells at Wycombe and the Glenn Hoddle Academy, amongst other clubs.

Centre-back Harry Worley will join, subject to international clearance, having made 26 appearances for Newport County last season. The former Chelsea youngster previously spent three years at Oxford, playing 62 games and has also gained valuable Football League experience at five other loan clubs.
