The club can announce the arrival of Michael Doughty on loan from QPR until January.

The midfielder joined QPR as a schoolboy aged 14 and has featured in all age groups for the R’s whilst also representing Wales at U19 and U21 level. The 20-year old has spent time on loan at Crawley Town, Aldershot Town and St Johnstone in recent years.

Doughty also played 61 minutes of the recent pre-season fixture with QPR at The Lamex which saw Boro win 2-0.

Michael told us, “I know this is a very progressive club in League 1 which has had a good couple of seasons in the division and is looking to establish itself. I think it’s a club that can really push forward this season and aim for the playoffs and promotion. Personally I want to nail down a starting place and play as many games as I can. If we can pick up as many points in that time then I’ll be delighted.”

In other news Anthony Furlonge and Matt Ball have gone out on loan to Hayes & Yeading and Boreham Wood respectively until January.
