The club can announce the signing of Peter Hartley from Hartlepool for an undisclosed five-figure sum.
Then 25-year old former Sunderland trainee, who is determined in the tackle and strong in the air, is comfortable operating either in the centre of defence or at left-back.
He won the Pools Players’ Player of the Year award in 2011/12 and skippered the side during 2012/13. He has been assigned the number 29 shirt at The Lamex Stadium.
Upon signing earlier today Peter commented, “I’m delighted to be here and I’m looking forward to getting my head down. The training ground here is different class, the attention to detail in and around the club is brilliant and I can’t wait to get going.”
