Ticket news:

Advance tickets are still on sale at Boro Tickets until 4pm on Friday. Tickets are cheaper in advance and demand is high so save yourself some money and a space!
Don't forget, season tickets are still available and if you aren't signing up for the season this year, then our loyalty card scheme may be of interest to you.

Last time we met:

The last time the two clubs met it was the first game back for Graham Westley after his spell at Preston. GW and the team got off to a perfect start, beating Hartlepool 1-0 thanks to an early goal from Max Ehmer.

Team news:

After a fairly gruelling pre-season, Boro have a fair number of players out on the sideline through injury for the first game of the season. Ronnie Henry, Calvin Zola and Chris Beardsley will all miss the game, whilst long-term absentee Dean Parrett is still some way off fitness. Former Pools man Simon Walton is suspended for the game, ironically after picking up a red for the club in the final game of last season.

Betting:

Stevenage are 21/20 with Sky Bet to mark their return to League 2 with victory over Hartlepool.
After relegation last season, Boro are 4/1 with Sky Bet to get back out of the fourth tier of English football at the first attempt.
