Team news:

One positive from Saturday’s defeat to Southend was that Boro got through mainly unscathed – Harry Worley is the only fresh doubt ahead of the game.

Chris Beardsley (knee), Ronnie Henry (knee), Dean Parrett (ACL) and Calvin Zola (hamstring) are all likely to miss out, however Beardsley, Henry and Zola are all edging ever-closer to their return to the side.

View from the dressing room:

GW hopes that the team can learn lessons from the weekend in order to have a successful trip to Plymouth.

“They’re a big club with a big home fan base and you could see (on Saturday) what can happen with decisions when there’s a big home fan base. You’re going to get very little going your way and you’re going to get a lot going their way. It takes a very strong official to stand up to that sort of pressure and see things in the right way. We’ve got to make sure that we go there and we’re ready for that, we’ve got to learn from today (Saturday) and in many respects playing today’s game will be a benefit as we’ll be used to the arena and we can suck some of those lessons in. I expect to see a big bounce back on Tuesday.”

Betting:

Boro are outsiders to get the win on Tuesday night – 11/5 with Sky Bet for the victory. A 1-0 away win is 7/1, whilst you’ll double your odds with a 2-0 Boro win – 14/1.

Here’s an ambitious one – Boro to be losing at half-time and to win at full-time is 40/1, the more realistic draw half-time, Boro full-time is 6/1.

Both Charles and Marriott are 7/1 to open the scoring, whilst there’s plenty of value in picking Chris Whelpdale (12/1), Simon Walton (14/1) or Charlie Lee/Tom Pett (both 16/1).
