Boro Player spoke to new manager Gary Smith at the training ground today, as he begins to settle into his role and work on Saturday's FA Cup Fourth Round Fixture, at home to Notts County.
He said that his first impressions have been "good ones" and continued "I had a lovely meeting with the more senior players yesterday and we aired a few things which were important, but yet again all of the information I've had about the players was spot on".

Describing the team as "an easy group to work with", Smith was clearly pleased with his first training session today. He said that there were "one or two areas to look at towards the weekend" that he and the players would find helpful before saying "they'll be well and truly ready at the weekend".
