Charlie Lee signed for Stevenage in the summer of 2014 after three years at Gillingham for whom he made 97 appearances.
The versatile former Tottenham trainee also played over 150 games during a four-year spell at Peterborough, scoring 14 times.
The 29-year old arrived at The Lamex Stadium with four promotions under his belt, including two to the Championship, and can play in either defence or midfield.
His first season at Stevenage saw him primarily pushed forward in a more attacking role and he finished as top scorer with nine goals.
Last season saw Charlie return to a more familiar midfield role where he made a further 32 appearances and scored three goals.
