Chris Day signed for Stevenage FC in August 2008 and has since made over 300 appearances for the club.
The former Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Watford, Millwall and England Under-21 goalkeeper arrived at Stevenage in August 2008 and proved instrumental in the team staying unbeaten for 24 games between December and August, a run that propelled Boro into the playoffs. After helping Stevenage to win the FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium in 2009, he was then part of a defence that held the finest record in the league with successive promotions from the Conference and League Two.
He remained a constant between the sticks as Boro reached the League 1 playoffs in 2012 and has since made a further 137 appearances, helping Boro to reach the League 2 playoffs in 2015.
In May 2016 Chris signed a new player-coach contract which saw the veteran ‘keeper continue as goalkeeper coach under Darren Sarll.
