A Stevenage XI yesterday lost 2-1 to local side Arlesey Town at the aRMadillo Stadium.

Boro used a youth side for the fixture, much the same as against Colney Heath last week, and despite some decent football in the first half the sides went in goalless.

They looked to be heading towards another victory when Jhai Dhillon gave Boro the lead midway through the second half but it was perhaps a lack of experience that lead to the home side hitting back with two late goals.

Chris Dillon netted both for The Blues, the second of which in quite unusual circumstances with the striker on the floor when getting the final touch, and the final whistle brought an end to proceedings.

Stevenage take on St Albans tonight (Wednesday) in a fixture that is expected to include a mix of first and youth team as well as trialists.
