The Main Stand at Stevenage FC has been undergoing a face lift since last season, and the results so far are amazing!
It all began with the opening of the area and extension of the car park, which is now just awaiting work to complete so that it can have a final layer placed on top. This will increase spaces by 50% and also show off the stadium to passers-by in a much more stylish fashion than before.
Next we built a ticket office, which will eventually become fully functional and reduce queues on turnstiles. This, along with our online ticketing system, will cut the time it takes our supporters to make their way into the Lamex and also gives those further afield the chance to get their hands on tickets to see the Boro!
The club shop has been livened up inside and now has an exterior to match; new signs brighten it up as the quality keeps on improving.
Next we had the stand cladded with a more modern and striking look. This, coupled with the new views from the road, give far more of a Football League feel to the ground and when you factor in our huge ‘Stevenage Football Club’ logo you have quite a piece of imagery.
As supporters are aware we have extended and had a new Directors’ Entrance added to the Northwest corner. It has a glass facia and will alleviate traffic issues with our main reception on a match day. As well as this we have had two large images of our past successes erected on the stand; proudly stating the words "PASSION" and "AMBITION", two key traits of the club, the images are striking from a distance.
As many of our new signings have stated this summer, the club is continuing to be progressive and move forward both on and off the pitch. Our brand new Bragbury End training ground is continuing to be developed and updates will also be seen soon.
