TANSEY FEELING FRESH

6 December 2012

Boro Player spoke to midfielder Greg Tansey today and he is looking forward to this weekend's clash at Victoria Park.

Hartlepool United are currently bottom of the table, but Tansey warned against complacency in the tie, saying "They're all tough games in this league, there's not a lot between the sides really, especially away from home, but we've been good away form home so we're looking forward to it."

Boro took on Reading in a friendly on Tuesday afternoon and Greg was pleased to get some time on the field, telling us that it will be beneficial to the sides fitness. "I felt like we got a good workout out of that so the lads are feeling fresh and looking forward to it" he said.

During that game Tansey, known for his long range shooting ability, had a shot form outside the area which deflected into the back of the net. Whether it hit Marcus Haber or his marker was hard to tell, however Greg doesn't mind who it hit - saying "I had a shot and it came off their player and went in - but it was on target so I think it's still my goal!"
