It has been announced with great pleasure and excitement that local businessman Paul Weller has been appointed as an Associate Director of Stevenage Football Club.

Paul Weller is the CEO of The Matrix Group who specialise in the Wealth Management, Tax and Business Development markets throughout the U.K. and Europe and their offices are based in Halls Green near Weston.

Chairman Phil Wallace commented “We are absolutely delighted that Paul is joining us as an Associate Director and he will use his vast business connections to help improve the profile of the club. The commitment to the club from Matrix can already be seen by the sponsorship of all the Youth teams and the renaming of the Away Stand to “The Matrix Stand”. Our aim is to recruit 6 Associate Directors to work with us in promoting the Club and improving income streams, in order that we can better compete at this level”.

Paul also commented that “As a fan of SFC I am delighted to be working more closely with the club. As I expand my businesses interests through The Matrix Group it will be my pleasure to continually promote the club in every way possible to assist with its continued success”.

Matrix has already singlehandedly invested over £250,000 in developing the Stevenage Football Club Business Academy, a free to join online and offline business community for local firms to join together to meet new clients, develop their businesses and find the help and support they need both now and into the future.

Paul stated that "The time is right for our business community to come together and forge forward. I've been delighted with the comments we have already received about the Business Academy from local businesses. I'm confident that Stevenage will be poised to lead the way in bringing sports and business together in a successful and profitable way for the whole of the local business community.
