The club are delighted with the progress that is currently being made on Stevenage’s Poppy Appeal Shirts, which are helping to raise money for two fantastic causes.

On Saturday, prior to our 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers, the club invited supporters into the Broadhall Suite for a special auction on a selection of the shirts and we were delighted with the turnout and also the amount that was raised.

Over £1,200 will be split between the Royal British Legion and SFC in the Community’s Kenya fund, with Luke Freeman’s shirt the most expensive on the day fetching £220, but it won’t stop there.

Captain Mark Roberts’ shirt is on eBay right now and is sitting at a healthy £225 with 5 days remaining; you can bid on it right now simply by searching for the item number on eBay, 110980190496.

SFC in the Community are working with African Adventures to give supporters the chance to make a difference in Kenya next May and 50% of the money raised will go towards this special volunteering course. More than 20 people have now signed up to represent the club in Nakuru and more fundraising will be announced shortly!
