EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES WITH ACADEMY

Stevenage FC would like to announce that two opportunities to work closely with the club's academy have become available.

Youth Development Phase Part-Time Lead Coach

Stevenage Football Club wishes to appoint a part-time coach for the Youth Development Phase reporting to the Youth Development Phase Lead Coach.

Working alongside other Academy coaches, the successful candidate will have a passion for developing talent for the future, whilst being able to operate within the overall Stevenage Academy coaching principles and framework.

The Stevenage Academy develops up and coming players ranging from under 9’s to the Reserves. This part time post will mean being a Lead Coach within this development phase working alongside an assistant.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills and be a role-model professional. In addition to this they will be experienced in coaching diverse groups of players from a range of backgrounds and cultures. They will be able to show that their innovative coaching programmes have contributed to improvements in playing performance, along with demonstrating that they understand the FA’s commitment to Long-Term Player Development.

Applicants will not be considered unless they hold a minimum of UEFA B coaching qualification and be working towards the FA Youth Award. In addition to this, computer literacy and being able to show they have the dedication and commitment to obtain results in an Elite Academy environment.

Employment with Stevenage Football Club is conditional upon a satisfactory enhanced CRB Disclosure, references and confirmation of qualifications.

All candidates will have to pass a theoretical and practical interview prior to the position being offered. It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to commence employment with the Club in late November or early December 2012.

Academy Scouts

Stevenage Football Club is looking to recruit Regional Scouts to work in Talent Identification of players ranging from 6-16 years old. This position involves observing players of all ages and levels (including some Category 1 and 2 Clubs) weekly, but mostly on the weekends. This position reports directly to the Head of Recruitment and Academy Manager.

Working alongside other Academy Scouts, the successful candidate will have a passion for Identifying talent for the future, whilst being able to operate within the overall Stevenage Academy Recruitment Philosophy and Targets.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills and be a role-model for the Community and the Club. In addition to this they will be experienced in identifying individuals from diverse groups of players and a range of backgrounds and cultures.

All Scouts work to a Bonus Scheme and are all CRB enhanced, FA Talent ID Certified (Club can provide this training if applicable) and attended a Child Protection Workshop.
