FEJIRI ON FA YOUTH CUP

15 November 2012

Boro Player spoke to youth team player Fejiri Okenabirhie about how the season is going so far and got his thoughts on the FA Youth Cup game against MK Dons this weekend.

16 year old Fejiri has been progressing well this season and he has hit the right kind of form coming into a big match in the FA Youth Cup against our local rivals.

“The season is going well so far, we are fifth in the league and we are doing well as we have won three drawn two and lost three as well but the team is improving all the time.

“Personally I feel the season is going well as I have scored seven goals and I was pleased with my performance last week against Luton when I scored a hat-trick and scored one against Watford so I am pleased.”

The young striker has been very pleased with his goal scoring form lately and is hoping it continues going into the game at the Stadium:MK.

“Things have been going well for me with four goals in the last two games and my confidence is really high at the moment so hopefully I can take that into the game against MK Dons at the weekend.”

This will be the third time that Stevenage have faced MK Dons this season with the teams each recording a win each and Fejiri is expecting a tough game this weekend.

“The first game we won by a big margin but it was close until the end of the game when we pulled away. The second game we were 3-0 down and pulled it back level but unfortunately lost 4-3, so both teams have a good chance but I feel we will win.”

Stevenage play in the FA Youth Cup away at the Stadium:MK this Saturday kicking off at 12:30.
