We are delighted to announce that Bryan Robson will be our guest Speaker at the next Sportsman’s Dinner and the event will be held on Wednesday 12th December at the Holiday Inn, St. George’s Way Stevenage.
Past sportsman’s dinner events have included Ron Atkinson, Bobby Charlton and Geoff Hurst however this night will prove to be one of the best as the former England captain speaks openly about his career, football in general, and telling some great stories of those he has played with and against.
Bryan started his career at West Bromwich Albion in 1972 before moving on to Manchester United in 1981 where he became the longest serving captain in the club’s history, winning numerous trophies along the way.
During this time he captained England on 65 occasions, and played a further 25 matches making him the sixth most capped England player of all time, he scored 26 goals in the process.
After retiring from playing, Bryan moved in to management, spending seven years at Middlesbrough, guiding them to the FA Premier League. He then returned to West Bromwich Albion for a two year stint before moving Bradford City and Sheffield United. He also managed the Thailand national team and is now an ambassador for Manchester United.
We are offering three organisations the chance to become Associate Sponsors of the event, with their logos appearing on menus and tickets and the opportunity to promote themselves by means of pop-up banners. They will be guaranteed premium tables, closest to the stage and their guests will get the chance to meet Bryan before the show for a private chat and photo opportunity, details of this are attached.
A three-course roast turkey dinner will be served and a top-line comedian will be on hand to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. Space is limited so I would urge you to make a booking as quickly as possible to avoid missing out on what is sure to be a fantastic event.
