Boro Player spoke to on-loan Queens Park Rangers man Max Ehmer after the victory over Hartlepool United on Easter Monday.

The goal scorer admitted he was pleased to find the back of the net on his home debut, but that the win meant more than that, he said: “It’s good to score but most importantly we got the three points and I’m buzzing that we got that.”

His chance came courtesy of a deflected Filipe Morais shot that fell in his path, but required a neat finish. When asked if he was surprised that the ball had fallen to him Max replied, “Yes, I ran around Luke and didn’t end up getting there but then it was just there for me to hit into the corner and it was a nice goal in the end.”

When asked if he thought a linesman’s flag might deny him the goal Ehmer said, “It didn’t really pop up in my mind and luckily it didn’t!”

Max went on to speak about where he feels he would perform best on a football pitch as well as how he has found it since joining Boro on loan and you can see that full interview on Boro Player now!
