Club News

19 April 2013

The club has today announced a number of the former Boro names who have agreed to play in the Mitchell Cole benefit game here at The Lamex on Tuesday 7th May (7pm k.o).

Boro fans will certainly recognise these five names as all were part of the successful FA Trophy Final squad of 2007 which Mitchell, of course, played an instrumental part in.

Adam Miller, Mark Beard, John Nutter, Daryl McMahon and Alan Julian are the first of many former Boro players, former team-mates of Mitchell's and associates who will be taking part in this match between a Stevenage XI and a Mitchell Cole XI.

Further names will be revealed next week as we continue the build-up to what we hope will be a fitting tribute to Mitch, with players from the Premier League, Championship and Champions League all expressing an interest in playing, along with other team-mates and some Stevenage favourites from years gone by.

Tickets for this game will be £10 for adults and £5 for U18s, with all proceeds going towards The Cardiomyopathy Association.

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance from the Stevenage FC shop or online at Currently only the Main Stand and East Terrace will be open, however further parts of the ground may be opened depending on ticket sales. Season ticket holders can book their usual seats by visiting the club shop or by using the above website. Click on "Supporter Login" at the top of the website, then either login or set up an account by clicking on the link below "Login", where you will be asked to enter your unique season ticket book number. You can then proceed to book your ticket.
