UP NEXT: YEOVIL (H)

12 April 2013

Yeovil Town
nPower League 1
Saturday 13th April 2013
The Lamex Stadium, Stevenage
Kick Off: 3pm

Weather Forecast: Light rain, 9°c
Referee: J Linington (Isle of Wight)

Last time we met:
Stevenage moved into second place in the League One table with a convincing victory at Yeovil in early November. Filipe Morais put the visitors ahead after only three minutes when he turned home Greg Tansey's cross. Yeovil levelled when Paddy Madden fired in but Stevenage sealed the game in the second half. Lucas Akins clinically converted his sixth goal of the season and James Dunne's deflected drive made it 3-1 to move Stevenage into the top two.

Boro: Arnold, Gray, N’Gala, Roberts, Charles, Dunne, Grant (Freeman), Tansey, Morais (Risser), Akins, Agyemang (Haber)

Subs not used: Day, Lopez, Hills, Rogers

Team News:

Stevenage are likely to stick with the same team that started the goalless draw at Portsmouth last weekend. Marcus Haber could come in up front but a bright performance from Filipe Morais at Pompey means the Canadian could again start on the bench. Robin Shroot and Jon Ashton are out injured.

Yeovil could welcome back captain Jamie McAllister from injury and suspension but he may have to settle for a place on the bench for this game if Gary Johnson opts for a similar line-up to the recent win over Shrewsbury.

The Yeovil Town Scout Report

Recent Form:
With just four games remaining Yeovil currently sit in fourth place in League 1 having picked up 71 points from their 42 matches so far.

Gary Johnson’s men have suffered just one defeat in their last five games – a 2-0 home loss to Swindon – with wins come against Notts County (2-1), Shrewsbury (2-1) and draws against Walsall (0-0) and Carlisle (3-3).

Whilst the Glovers have the third best home form in the division, their away record isn’t quite so good with nine wins, four draws and seven defeats from their 20 games, during which time they’ve scored 31 and scored 30.

Possible Yeovil line-up for Saturday (4-4-2 formation):
Marek Stech; Luke Ayling, Byron Webster, Dan Burn, Joe Edwards; Ed Upson, Kevin Dawson, Matthew Dolan, Angelo Balanta; Paddy Madden, James Hayter

Subs: Richard Hinds, Gareth Stewart, Gavin Williams, Ben Gordon, Nathan Ralph, Sam Foley, Vitalijs Maksimenko

Key Man:
Paddy Madden has been a revelation for the Glovers since arriving at Huish Park, scoring 22 goals in 32 games since October alone to lead the League 1 goal scoring charts. The 23-year old Irishman, who has featured at U18, U19 and U21 level internationally, initially arrived at Yeovil on a one-month loan deal to gain match fitness after barely featuring for parent club Carlisle during the first months of the season. He scored twice on his debut and nine goals in 16 overall in green and white – including an equaliser in Boro’s aforementioned 3-1 win - before signing a permanent deal at Yeovil in January. He has since gone on to score in all but five of Town’s 17 league games so far in 2013.
