Boro boss Graham Westley has been speaking to Boro Player about today's narrow 1-0 defeat to Leyton Orient and said that despite the result there were plenty of positives to take from the game.
"It was always going to be a difficult start to the season for us," he said. "As much as we want to try and hide from it and pretend we can get it together very quickly, there is a completely new team here.
"I think the performance today, on the whole, had a lot of good qualities about it. The debutants were exceptional. I think Hartley, Doughty, Jimmy Smith all performed really creditably on their home debuts.
"I thought the team over the course of the 90 put in enough work and showed enough desire to come home with at least a point. They stole in and got the goal of course. Our best chance hit the bar and bounced down and bounced away. The small margins are going against us at the moment but they even themselves out over the season."
