Our four Boro loanees had a mixed afternoon for their respective clubs on the opening weekend of Skrill South fixtures.
Matt Ball made a dream debut for Boreham Wood on Saturday, scoring both goals in a 2-0 away win at Tonbridge Angels. The Northern Irish U21 international opened the scoring in the 16th minute, firing past former Boro 'keeper Clark Masters from just inside the area, and then notched his second just before the hour with a volley inside the box. He was also named Man of the Match. You can view both goals here.
Elsewhere Michael Thalassitis' Ebbsfleet drew 0-0 with Havant & Waterlooville, Anthony Furlonge played 90 minutes as Hayes & Yeading suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Bromley whilst George Allen played the full game as Bishop's Stortford lost 2-1 at home to Bath City.
Ball and Allen will come face-to-face tonight in the next round of league fixtures as Boreham Wood entertain Bishop's Stortford. Then tomorrow night sees Ebbsfleet travel to Dover whilst Hayes & Yeading are at Maidenhead United.
