2013 REVIEW - SEPTEMBER

30 December 2013

We turn our attention briefly to September in our Stevenage FC review of 2013...

On the pitch:
September was a tricky month on the pitch for Stevenage. After a goalless draw at Tranmere resulted in a point, three successive defeats against Preston (0-3), Carlisle (1-3) and MK Dons (1-4) saw little to cheer about.

Off the pitch:
The Football League announced a new partnership with YouTube, allowing official channels for more than 85 clubs and supporters access to a whole new world of free online video content from Stevenage FC. You can visit the channel at www.youtube.com/stevenagefcofficial if you haven’t already.

The League and the National Football Museum also launched a major new free exhibition in Manchester celebrating the 125th anniversary of the world’s original league football competition. It runs from September 2013 through to April 2014, the length of the first season of the Football League in 1888/89. Clubs donated items towards the exhibition with a signed programme from Stevenage’s first ever Football League game in 2010 now part of the memorabilia on show.
