2013 REVIEW: JUNE

30 December 2013

We now turn to June as we continue our look back at events at Stevenage FC over the past 12 months.

The squad continued to evolve both on the playing side, with Jimmy Smith arriving from Leyton Orient, and on the management side with former fans favourite Jason Goodliffe returning to the club in a coaching capacity. Youngsters Jo N’Guessan, Jhai Dhillon and George Allen all signed their first ever pro deals and Darius Charles also extended his stay at the club.

Whilst the squad set off for La Manga on a pre-season training camp, preparations for the new season were also underway at The Lamex with volunteers assisting the ground staff with painting and general maintenance around the ground.

June saw the launch of the 2013/14 fixtures with Boro given a home game against Oldham on the opening day of the season, whilst also drawing Championship outfit Ipswich in the Capital One Cup first round.

The club also announced a new two year deal with Fila to become the official kit supplier with new bespoke home and away kits to be launched the following month.
