GW: OVER 90 MINS WE WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH

10 December 2013

Manager Graham Westley gave his reaction to tonight’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat at Swindon.

He told Boro Player, “Over 90 mins we weren’t good enough. We were ill-disciplined, we didn’t work hard enough, we didn’t put our game plan in place and we paid the price by conceding a goal.

“We got back in it, but I’m not going to take any real comfort from that. That just shows that, off the back of a tongue lashing, there was a little bit of a response. I suppose that’s a positive but we’re out of a cup and that’s not where I want to be.

“We need to start growing a little bit more guts and a little bit more courage and stepping up to the plate, because otherwise we’ll keep losing games rather than winning games.

“People need to wake up and start delivering the right performances.
