DONATE YOUR OLD PHONE TO KENYA CAUSE

11 February 2013

Receive £5 off a calendar...

Got a new phone for Christmas and wondering what to do with the old one?

Old phones clogging up your cupboards?

Want to get rid of them and help a well-worthy cause?

Want to receive £5 off a 2013 Stevenage FC calendar?

As Stevenage FC in the Community continue to raise money towards the Kenya 2013 fund we are asking supporters to donate their old mobile phones and in return receive £5 off a 2013 Stevenage FC calendar!

No matter how old or new, if you’re no longer using a previous handset then why not donate it to the club now? 100% of the money we raise from old mobile phones will go straight into the Kenya appeal fund.

To donate your phone simply pop into the club shop and when giving it to the person serving you in the shop you will be able to purchase a 2013 Stevenage FC calendar for just £4.99 (Usual price £9.99).

Please note that you can only use one phone per calendar, if you bring in more than one phone you can purchase the same amount of calendars for just £4.99.

Even if you already have your 2013 calendar please don’t hesitate to donate your old mobile phones as all money raised really will go to a fantastic cause.

MORE ABOUT THE CAUSE:

This May, Stevenage Football Club in the Community will be heading to Nakuru in Kenya to run a community project for the benefit of the locals. Continuing to do tremendous work in and around Stevenage, the Community department are heading to Kenya to try and improve another community that isn’t as fortunate as our own.

The work completed in Nakuru will include teaching, cooking, construction, helping families and of course, football coaching.

In addition to the work in Kenya, the funds generated by this fantastic project will work towards creating more opportunities in and around Stevenage for disabled children. Creating the club’s first disability team, the funds will also give disabled children in the area the chance to get into a variety of sports. This work will help to continue the legacy of the Paralympics in 2012.
