RECORD BREAKING BORO SOCCER CAMPS

24 February 2013

Stevenage FC Soccer Camps are continuing to grow with records smashed this half term at the Shephalbury Sports Academy.

We are delighted to announce that we have broken our attendance record for our Soccer Camps with 185 bookings for last week! That is well over 100% increase in participation from 2012. A massive well done to all the children who have attended and made the week so special!

Stevenage Football Academyand Stevenage Football Club in the community supply fun football sessions for 5-12 children across the region. These sessions take place at our academy complex on Broadhall Way in Stevenage, children have had the opportunity to come down and get involved in fun and games with our community coaches. There have been some great pieces of skill on show and some excellent goals scored. Well done to all the children who have won medals and trophies throughout the week and we are looking forward to our mega-tournament tomorrow!

The children who attended Tuesday’s course had a special treat for all of their hard work, they were rewarded with match tickets for our match v. Oldham Athletic. Despite the result all the children really enjoyed themselves and we will be holding a similar ticket giveaway for our Easter Soccer Camp.

There was a special surprise for the children who attended today. Stevenage FC captain Mark Roberts, wing wizard Lucas Akins and goalkeepers Steve Arnold and Chris Day were on hand to answer any questions our aspiring footballers had and also give out medals and trophies the children had won throughout the day.
