Stevenage FC would like to pass thanks to Stoke City Football Club after the Premier League side kindly allowed the Boro train at their Clayton Wood Training Complex last week.

The stop at Stoke came en route to Carlisle United for Saturday’s tie at Brunton Park and didn't only give the Stevenage team the opportunity to break up the journey but also the chance to get an extra training session in.

Stoke Manager Tony Pulis played with Boro Assistant Manager Mark Newson at Bournemouth in the 80’s and the two caught up with each other whilst the first team enjoyed a lunch in the training ground's leisure area.

We would like to thank all those involved for their hospitality on the day.
