Stevenage Chairman Phil Wallace spoke to the official website in reaction to the club losing 10 of it’s last 12 games.
Despite that run of form, speaking earlier today Wallace told us, “I believe we’ll finish mid table. We saw earlier in the season what this place, so we know it’s in there and the poor run of form will end. We will turn this corner and we will start putting points on the board. We had 51 points at this stage last season, 8 more than now and finished in the play offs!ndsquad is capable of when they got to 2
“Our form and results recently have been shocking but together we will turn that around. The fans are the biggest influence in that process and they can help immensely by playing their part on match days and on media sites. Nobody likes to see their team lose or play badly, but there’s a lot of clubs not liking where they are in league tables right now. Unfortunately we’re one of them but they’ll always be ups and downs at this level of football – we have to learn to live with that in these higher divisions and I’d like to think we can support and encourage the players even more in the down times, when they need us the most.”
He continued “I’ve flown back from the US to meet with Gary, see games for myself and offer my support. Our target is to get a minimum of 58 points by the end of this season for a comfortable top half finish. It doesn’t matter how or when we get those 15 points - this Saturday is just one of the 13 games we have left to win them”
