7 January 2013

Stevenage FC are delighted to announce the huge success of our Shirt Amnesty which offers Boro fans the chance to make a saving on a brand new Stevenage shirt!

Over 160 supporters have donated old or unwanted football shirts to the cause, and in return received up to £10 off of a Stevenage shirt, and all of the tops that we have received will be taken to Kenya on the club’s community trip this May.

Stevenage FC in the Community are taking more than 20 volunteers to Nakuru in Kenya, where we will help to build, teach and coach sports to the local community. Money raised for this tremendous cause will also go towards creating a Stevenage FC disability team in 2013 whilst also helping to further the opportunities for local disabled children to take part in sports in Stevenage.

This offer has also helped to put 160 more Stevenage shirts on the streets and as the club tries to increase the fanbase and continue to rise in the world of football this is something that will only improve our image.

We would like to thank each and every supporter that has taken part in this brilliant offer and let supporters know that is has now been extended until the end of January to give everyone else a chance to get involved.

Please be aware that even if you’d like to donate any old football shirts but already have your Boro shirt then you can do so and these will all be taken and donated to the local people in Kenya regardless.
