After a weekend of exploring the local area the Boro team in Kenya got back down to work today at their respective projects.
At Jubilee Academy the playground is nearing completion with only a few minor items to be addressed before the official opening on Thursday. Meanwhile the volunteers at Luchema continued their good work both in the classroom teaching and outside the classroom with sports coaching and games.
Tomorrow sees the entire Boro contingent spend the day at Luchema, with half the team running a sports day for the pupils whilst the construction team complete work in the final few classrooms. Not only will it give a chance for those who’ve yet to visit the project, but it’ll mean the youngsters will experience a real fun-filled day of activities.
Volunteers from fellow Football League sides Derby County, Wycombe Wanderers and Portsmouth have all arrived in Nakuru today to work on other projects in the town. A football match against them is planned at the town’s Afraha Stadium on Thursday so we’ll let you know how we get on!
