LOAN WATCH

14 March 2013

Keep up to date with the Boro lads out on loan with the official Stevenage website!

Dani Lopez was the star for Barnet with a second half hat-trick as the Bees comfortably saw off Morecambe 4-1 in League 2 last weekend. After falling behind in the game, the Spaniard set up Luke Gambin’s 52nd minute equaliser with a beautiful chip over the defence before putting the hosts ahead from close range. He then blasted home from the penalty spot five minutes later before firing home from six yards in the final minutes to claim the match ball. Bondz N’Gala also played 90 minutes and both players have since been recalled to Stevenage.

Fresh from extending his loan deal on the south coast, Patrick Agyemang played 90 minutes as Portsmouth moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-0 win over fellow strugglers Bury last Saturday and then featured for the whole game in their 1-0 defeat at Leyton Orient in midweek.

There were also mixed fortunes for Boro’s three loanees currently playing in Blue Square South. Matt Ball scored the only goal of the game as Farnborough won 1-0 at Eastbourne, with the midfielder clipping the ball past former Boro ‘keeper Danny Potter in the 14th minute to secure all three points. Michael Thalassitis went close for Boreham Wood with several efforts as they picked up points at Dorchester (0-0) and Eastleigh (1-1) in the past seven days whilst Anthony Furlonge-Sinclair made his debut for Tonbridge Angels in their 4-1 defeat at Welling United.
