Stevenage Football Club and STS Tyres have their first winner!
You may have noticed the half time ‘Through the Tyre Challenge’ taking place at the Lamex Stadium on match days recently, which gives two lucky supporters the chance to win up to £50,000 simply by kicking a football through the tyre!
We had our first winner this weekend, as Boro fan Steve Christmas took to the field in his socks and netted from the penalty spot – bagging a cool £250!
After the game Steve tweeted his delight at winning the money, typing “Proud to be the first to ping a penalty through the tyre” and when speaking to other supporters he described that it was “such a buzz hearing the crowd go mental” but admitted that his “feet were frozen solid when I walked off, but it did the trick!”
When you come through the turnstile you’ll receive an STS Tyre Pros ‘Through the Tyre Challenge’ entry, which will contain a unique number. We will randomly pick one at every game and if yours comes out of the hat then you’ll have the chance to shoot from the penalty spot for a £250 prize!
