BORO DUO CALLED UP FOR COUNTRIES

8 May 2013

Marcus Haber has been called up to the Canada national side whilst Anthony Furlonge will join up with the Cyprus Under-21 squad.

Haber, 24, has made five appearances for Canada after working his way through the youth ranks and he scored his first goal for the national team against Japan in March.

He will be part of the squad for their upcoming friendly against Costa Rica in Edmonton, Canada later this month.

Furlonge has been called up for a second time by the Cyprus U21 side, after impressing during his previous spell with his countries youth side in a game against their Belgian counterparts.

The 19-year old is yet to make a first team appearance for Stevenage after signing on a free transfer last summer, but has been named amongst the substitutes on four occasions. He enjoyed loan spells to Bishop’s Stortford and Tonbridge Angels last season.
