Stevenage FC is inviting talented 16-18 year old boys wishing to pursue a two-year Football / Futsal and education scholarship to a trial and information day later this month.

The club is inviting potential players to attend a trial and information day for both the club’s new Elite Development Programme (EDP) and its Futsal Academy, both of which start later this summer. This will be taking place at Marriotts School, Brittain Way, Stevenage, SG2 8UT on Saturday 25th May from 10am to 5pm.

Both the EDP and Futsal Academy are two year education scholarships for 16-18 year old boys, during which they study BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, the equivalent of three A-Levels.

Applicants must be aged between 16-18 and have achieved, or be predicted, five GCSEs at A-C grade, including English and Maths.

Learners will have the opportunity to train for up to 8 hours a week whilst representing the club in either the Football League Trust National Futsal League or regionalised leagues, whilst studying for a minimum of 10 hours per week for their qualifications.
