The 24-strong team representing Stevenage FC safely arrived in Kenya this morning ahead of its exciting charity work.
The 27 hour journey saw the group travel the 10,000+ miles from Stevenage to Nakuru by coach, two planes and a minibus and although most were a little tired and bleary-eyed, spirits remained high.
So far the team have experienced the hustle and bustle (and heat!) of Doha, the ‘joy’ of rush-hour traffic in Nairobi, beautiful rolling Kenyan countryside and of course the African sunshine. The rest of the day will allow us to get accustomed to our new surroundings before the hard work starts tomorrow when we split into two groups to begin our work at the Jubilee Academy and Luchema School.
